Personal trainers

Why would anyone pay good money to be shouted at? Well, it’s not quite like that these days…personal trainers are no longer just for the celebs, they are much more accessible and acceptable to anyone who needs a kick start or a boost to their fitness regime..

Motivation is one of the key reasons for having a personal trainer – they should have all the skills to get you up and keep you going – after all that’s what you are paying for. You should get a detailed assessment of your current fitness and a very personalized plan of how to achieve your goals. Your trainer will coach and work alongside you and keep you on track. You’ll certainly pay for the service at somewhere around £20-40 per session but for some people it’s better than flunking out on an expensive gym membership.

As usual, before committing do your research, try and get a personal recommendation, ask for a trial period, check out the national register of personal trainers or other similar bodies to ensure you have someone with the right qualifications. Don’t forget many local health clubs or leisure centers have personal trainers attached to them. Often that’s a good place to start for a recommendation. Finally, make sure you click with the person – after all, they are going to get close enough to see you sweat..
